Our dentist, Dr. Cam Crawford, BSc Hons, D.D.S., grew up on the shores of Chemong Lake. Having grown up in Peterborough, he's thrilled to own his practice in the city he loves. He has completed studies at the University of Western Ontario, Wilfrid Laurier University, Lakefield College School, Lakefield District Intermediate School and Ridpath Public School. At the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Crawford was the President of the Schulich School of Dentistry.
After graduation, he received an award from the London District Dental Society for community service and overall accomplishment. Dr. Crawford is the proud recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, presented by HRH Prince Phillip.
As well as being a dentist, Dr. Crawford is a published dental author. He has contributed research to the highly respected Oral Health Journals and the JCDA in the fields of Endodontics, Implantology and Prosthodontics.
Dr. Crawford is a huge sports fan. Growing up he played minor lacrosse with Peterborough Lakers Lacrosse as well as minor hockey on the Peterborough Petes Hockey team. He adores hockey and is still a major fan of the Peterborough Petes and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Most likely you have seen him at some games! He assists with the dental needs of the Peterborough Petes through volunteer service for players and fans.
Dr. Crawford and his friendly and compassionate team are happy to see patients of all ages and offer a wide variety of treatments. He spent time as a Camp Councilor during his youth and enjoys working with young children. Dr. Crawford, along with his entire professional team know the importance of ensuring every patient, especially the kids, have a positive and informative dental experience in order to establish a healthy dental relationship for them to maintain for their entire lives.
Our dentist has had designation in nitrous oxide, commonly referred to as laughing gas, mini implants, dental implants, Invisalign (moving teeth without braces), advanced oral surgery, extractions and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Crawford is an excellent conversationalist, although, he understands when silence is appropriate.
In his free time, Dr. Crawford enjoys experiencing the natural beauty of the Kawarthas by getting outside for fishing, camping and boating. He additionally enjoys local history, movies, playing squash, and baseball. Dr. Crawford partners with Fleming College and Trent University for student services. Active in the community, he supports the Dragon Boat Festival, Lakefield College School, Down's Syndrome Association, Peterborough Petes and Peterborough Minor Hockey.
